Rohini Ananth as a Dancer

AS A SOLO PERFORMER

Rohini Ananth was introduced to the world of classical dance at the tender age of seven. She was exposed to Bharathanatyam in which she excelled. She proceeded to complete her Vidwath in dance, which is the highest accolade. She completed her Rangapravesham under the able guidance of Guru Smt. Padmini Ravi. She is an auditioned artist of Bangalore Doordarshan and has done innumerable performances for Media. She has performed all over India, UAE, USA and Australia winning the appreciation of art lovers and critics. During the years, she had the privilege of improving her skills by taking the able guidance of distinguished dance teachers like Guru Smt. Rajalakshmi ( Pandanallur Style) , Guru Smt. Revathi Narasimhan, Guru Smt. Lalitha Srinivasan ( Mysore Style) and Guru Smt. Padmini Ravi ( Vazhuvur Style)

AS A GROUP PERFORMER

Rohini has always played lead roles in the productions hosted by her gurus. She has performed at various dance festivals with Dr. Sanjay Shantaram (Director – Shivapriya School of dance). Being a part of the world famous Prabath Kalavidharu, she has performed all over India. She has done several group productions for Doordarshan under reputed gurus of Bangalore.

AS A GURU

Rohini realized her dream of imparting knowledge on this wonderful art form when she started Swaralaya School of Performing Arts (R) in 1996. Under this banner, she trained more than 200 students, most if whom have carved a niche for themselves in this field. Many have completed their Arangetram and Vidwath certification under able guidance. Her migration to Dubai and her busy work schedule did not let the passion of dancing lull. She started a team and trains many enthusiastic budding dancers under the banner KLASSICAL RHYTHMS. The members of this team have performed in various prestigious platforms in the UAE, USA and Australia. Many have completed their examinations conducted by KSEB and Pracheen Kala Kendra and also their arangetram under her guidance.
