She is an ex Director of the Ashwa Mahila Credit co-operative society which does micro financing for economically backward ladies. A member of the Hiteshi Maneyangala Trust, she does her bit to serve the needy old people. Through this Trust, she has been active in conducting many Gynecology camps, Eye camps, Blood donation camps, dental camps etc. She awards scholarships to Enthusiastic Dancers in the name of Late. Dr. Anand Alwar (Her husband’s grandfather who was the first president of Rama mandira, an art lover and a doctor by profession who served the country in the world war) and provides learning remuneration for an entire year to deserving students.
Rohini’s diversified interests and social concerns led her to become members of various organizations. She was an active member in the Inner Wheel Rotary club, where she worked for several social causes. She worked for Bengalooru Habba, where she played key roles in artist management. She is an active member of Karnataka Sangha in UAE. She is also in the core committee of one of the verticals of and organization called Friend of India in the UAE.
